Business Award
These awards are open to any successful business that has been in business since 2020 and has proven excellence in community relations, business achievement, sound employee relations, customer service and reliability.
Categories could include but are not limited to:
- Health/Wellness/Fitness/Beauty
- House & Home
- People & Professionals
- Sales & Service Providers
- Restaurant/Food Service
- Retail Stores
- Sports & Recreation
- Other (please specify)
New Business Award
This award is open to any new business that was started in 2022 and has proven excellence in community relations, business achievement, sound employee relations, customer service and reliability.
Special Recognition Award
(Sponsored by Trentadue Torres Real Estate Group)
This award is open to any individual or business that made an outstanding contribution to the Whitchurch-Stouffville community in the past year. Areas for consideration include, but are not limited to: Positive Environmental Impact; Lifetime of Giving; Innovative Services; Health & Wellness; Positive Contribution to Society; Social & Community Advancements.
(This winner is chosen at the discretion of the Board of Directors & the sponsor.)
Eligibility
- Nominees must be a registered business.
- The nominee does not have to be a member of the Stouffville Chamber of Commerce at the time of nomination BUT must join the Chamber within 30 days of the nomination to be eligible to win the award.
- Nominees cannot have won a Stouffville Chamber Award within the past five years.
- While it is not encouraged, businesses can self-nominate.
- The competition is not open to the judges or their employers. If the employer of a member of the Board of Directors is nominated, the Board member will recuse themselves from any discussion and/or vote on the recommendations of the judging committee.
- At the discretion of the judging committee, awards may be withheld in any category.
- Businesses may be nominated for more than one category. The judges will have discretion to determine the category under which the business will be judged.
The Judges
Winners (except for the Special Recognition Award) are selected by a panel of judges. Their selections are based on a predetermined marking scheme.
All nominations need to be submitted to the Stouffville Chamber of Commerce by 3:00 p.m. on June 2nd, 2023.
